Realistic set of New Year's resolutions:

1. Cut down on drinking.

2. Spend more time with family.

3. No more matched grip. Strictly traditional only.

4. Have enough discipline to keep routine practice.

5. Get an organizer. And keep my schedule organized.

6. Stop eating so much fried food and junk food. Less snacking. Less tidbits.

7. Run at least twice a week.

8. Keep face clean as much as possible.

The ability to play is one thing. But coming up with inspiration, composing the different elements, organizing the structure, coordinating the various roles, piecing it all together as a team, and most importantly - feeling it wholeheartedly, and then flamboyantly expressing it in as much fluidity as possible through pure, sheer music, takes it to a whole new level altogether. - JH Ho
